Our foundation project has enabled our club (and the thousands of people that have bought and enjoyed the cakes and puddings) to contribute to acheiving the aim of wiping out polio completely, and we are nearly there.

The purchase of every cake and pudding sold allows us to continue our support to the Rotary Foundation.

With our Foundation Cake Program our club has donated approximately $250,000 to the Rotary Foundation.

Our Foundation Cake project
One of our members has been the prime mover on this project for at least the last six years and our club, plus the foundation does appreciate the work Christine puts in.
Our club would also like to recognise the other Rotary clubs around Australia that support this project. Without these clubs supporting our project with the enthusiasm they display we would not have reached anywhere near the $250,000 already donated.
Our aim this year is to further grow the cake sales, as some money from the cake sales goes directly to your local club this is supporting you supporting us.

Branding
One of the most important things that every Rotary club member should take notice of with this project is the branding. Every person that purchases a cake, or the people that are given a cake get to see the Rotary brand and see some of the important projects Rotary is involved in because they are advertised on the containers of the cakes and baked puddings. This does help spread the word to those who are oblivious to what Rotary does.

The Rotary club of Melton Valley has been in existance for over 29 years, we have contributed to helping a large number of people in our community, as well as national and international causes, but during this extended time our members have enjoyed themselves, while the focus is on making things better where we are able to, it is important that our members get enjoyment out of what we do.
